Write about a fear you have overcome.

A fear I overcame was heights and swimming. I feel like as I grew older those two things I started doing more things involved with them and I just grew out of the fear. I also grew out of the dark fear too which is good. I mean their still scary in certain scenarios but nowhere close to how bad they were back when I was a little kid. We looked at an article about degrees and found claims in it and counterclaims I learned how to write a counterclaim from a text and from an actual claim.

As you grow older and face new experiences, what issue or topic do you think you'll have to stand up and debate most often, whether with friends, family, or society?

I think were going to have to debate about our countries leader and how were going to get this economy right. Because it seems like these days, political leaders aren't making anybody happy. Neither side is getting what they want and our country is in anguish. We just need one great leader to help our country back into greatness and possibly even more greatness than before We learned about claims and how to write them. I learned how to write a claim.

A truth I was afraid to accept

One truth I've always been afraid to accept is how death isn't limited to old age and how quick it could happen, I've just learned how to live in the moment and accept that were all going to die and try not to avoid it but to embrace it and just live. Because it will eventually happen. We took notes on how to write a thesis statement for an essay I learned how to write a thesis

A time you were judged unfairly

One time I was judged unfairly was when I was at a party and I chose not to take a shot of alcohol. The lady was so confused and she walked off in anger. But I don't drink so I had sto stay true to what I know is right and I didn't drink. I read a story in commonlit due to abscence I learned a new story and knowledge due to the commonlit

Imagine you are learning about Hispanic/Latino heritage for the very first time. What would you be curious to know about the traditions, foods, music, or celebrations?

I would like to know the difference between latino and Hispanic. And the culture that each of them share and differ from each other. I would also like to learn how to dance with eachother like they do. We learned more about writing an essay and how to write a thesis statement  I learned how to write a thesis statement.

After viewing your classmates’ poem posters, select one presentation that caught your attention. Describe what you enjoyed about it or something new you learned from their work

I liked Logans poem and his poster. I liked how he compared living and death to hunting and he really kept me engaged with his presenting abilities. I gave his one of the highest ratings on the paper and I give props to him. We presented our poem posters and worked on vocabulary I learned about other peoples poems.

In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

I felt like an interloper when I got a new receiver coach for football. He was just new and I didn't really like him at first. I didn't want to be coached by him at first and didnt take him seriously half the time until I realized he was a cool dude and knew what he was coaching us. We worked on a commonlit. I learned about the interlopers.

Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

I think I will be using the words, aesthetic, ambiguous, and animosity the most during this semester. These words feel powerful to me because they were already in my vocabulary and now that I have a very clear understanding on how to use them. We worked on some vocabulary words and learned about essay writing. I learned how to write an essay.

You are currently working on a soundtrack for selected Emily Dickinson poems. With that in mind, if asked to choose a song to describe your life right now, which song would you select and why?

If I chose a song to describe my life right now I would select  Dior leopard by Che. I just feel like the chaotic beat and the beat switch of the song perfectly describe my life especially during football season with so many things going on and how quickly my mood can switch. We finished our Emily Dickinson soundtrack and we got most of our quote analysis done. I know how to analyze quotes now.

If you were to compose a poem about one aspect of your life, which topic would it fall into and what would your overall life's message be?

If I were to make a poem about one aspect of my life, it would be about sports and how it really affects you if you love said sport. Im saying this because sports really is my life and its been that way for a long time. My life's messages would be if you love something, put your all into it because it will all be worth it in the end. Summary: We did a quiz and started a quote analysis. I learned how to analyze quotes.

What is something that makes you different from other people

One thing that makes me different from other people is that I don't really go out and party but I am still social I have just never been to a house party. I really just stick to myself and stay in the house. We worked on the heart poem? I don't know I was absent this day (Aug. 29)
