What did you do over the break?

Over the break I had a lot of football practice but I did go on a couple dates with a girl they were pretty fun. Then after than I had a football game, we lost but that doesn't matter. It was a pretty calm break I didn't travel anywhere but I did end up visiting Emory university (not on an actual visit but I just went).  We got new vocabulary and started on a comic strip with said vocabulary words I learned what celibate means.

How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on? Write about at least three specific things you do to enjoy small moments throughout your day.

When I have a lot going on in the day I usually enjoy my day by entertaining myself. When I get free time I would usually watch some YouTube videos, listen to my favourite music, and/or talk with friends on the phone. Today we finished our "Ambush" argument paragraph. I learned how to cite text formally and correctly to help with evidence from the story.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

One time someones words left an impact on me was when my coach was giving me a speech in the locker room at halftime when we were down. He was so passionate in his words that he was crying. I just felt inspired and wanted to go out that second half and play my heart out. We did an evidence revision on some peoples claim and evidence and states why they weren't effective I learned how to decipher good usable evidence and evidence that wont work.

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

A time I had to step out of my comfort zone was actually after homecoming. I went to my first party and there's was people with alcohol and smoking, never gave into anything but I still had to ease my way into it. It was a very new experience for me but I had a lot of fun. We read a story about an ambush and if killing someone was feasible or not. I learned how to make an argument from reading a story.

Write about a dream that felt real.

A dream that felt real was I was at my old house and I was sleeping in a room with my little brother. My dog was also laying on my bed and I guess i was in school and I was talking to my friend. Then my friend started laughing but his laugh sounded a little bit weird. I then woke up and I come to find out that the sound of the friends laugh was my dog preparing to throw up and she threw up all over my bed. I don't know how but the sounds synched up in my drea. We worked on newsela and wrote down new vocabulary word and original sentences I learned what boor means and it will become a new part of my vocabulary.

Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

I have always been curious on how people figure out the math equations to find things. Like how did people find the equations for circumference and assume it was right or wrong. It's so confusing We wrote an argumentative parapraph the whole class and did a quiz. I successfully wrote an argumentative paragraph.

Write about the best gift you have received.

The best gift I have ever received was my PC for Christmas my sophmore year. It is so amazing and Im making great use of it I will never forget it. We took notes and learned about argumentative writing, I learned how to write an argumentative paragraph/essay

Write about a conversation that changed you.

A conversation that changed me was the birds and the bees conversation. It just changed my perspective on life. Showed me kind of the leeway to an adult in a way, We did work on claim from text and wrote opposing claims and regular claims. I learned how to write an opposing claim

Write about something that you believed as a child.

Something I believed in as a child was that the tooth fairy actually gave you money and was real. Now I know its fake and a little creepy now that I think about it We did vocabulary work and the two image assignment I learned how to associate picture with words
